The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law "On Amendments to the Law "On the State Budget of Ukraine for Year 2009" and some other Laws of Ukraine"

The Law increases the rates of excise duty for certain kinds of alcoholic beverages. Extra budget revenue from excise duty is to be allocated as extra subsidy to the local budgets to provide medical treatment of the sick with diabetes mellitus; and for implementation of action plan concerning twenty-four-hour water supply of Lviv, etc.

The People´s Deputies excluded the regulation concerning natural wine from the Bill. A relevant Bill was registered under Reg. No. 4503.
